The Pack

We're not like your traditional rescue with volunteers and staff... Alright, we are. BUT we also have some amazing, adoptable staff members, too! Please keep in mind that these are not all of our adoptable animals, but our "working" ones. Want to meet the rest of our crew? Click HERE!

Every dog that comes into Coming Back Home Rescue has an opportunity to have a "job". It's our way of bonding with our rescues and giving them a way to shine. Our Pack will always change from time to time as new dogs come in and older residents get adopted out. Were these dogs bred to do the jobs they are tasked to do? Probably not. But that doesn't stop them from trying. Sometimes a dog just needs a purpose. Maybe they can help you out at your home or business! Or... you can retire them. 💕

BETSY: Our "substitute teacher" when it comes to teaching some manners to our new guests who need to learn the routine. Betsy does well teaching obedience towards other dogs and works under our Founder, Heather. Betsy is her loyal companion that doesn't let dogs step out of line. She typically handles puppies or submissive dogs who just need a little guidance. Just don't make her jealous - she's a Diva.

POPTART: An adoptable kiddo looking for a forever home to share his conspiracy theories with. We tried telling him aliens are not real, but Poptart is convinced otherwise. When not trying to confuse the kids with stories of aliens and robotic birds, Poptart manages the property making sure everything is in order. He has a great sense of understanding "threat levels" and who has the wrong intentions or at best, is questionable. Since he's been through a lot, it only makes sense. Thankfully, there's not too many people he wouldn't greet and play with. A great guardian with a passionate heart.

TAVI: An adoptable huntress in disguise. Tavi handles pest control on the property and chases mice out of the garage where we store the dog food. Sometimes, she'll search the whole perimeter if there is a rodent causing trouble or dig up nests. While she's never caught anything before, her nose and determination is enough to drive the pests away. Watch out though... she loves to zoom around. Who knows where her nose will lead her next. Tavi is our newest resident, so, we are still getting to know her.

We are on the search for dedicated Staff

members at Coming Back Home Rescue - the human kind, of course! Our organization doesn't follow the traditional path of most rescue organizations. There are no "set schedules" and there is no facility. We are a group of neighbors, friends and family that come together to develop plans for each day that goes by. If you can't help out that day - don't sweat it!

Perhaps you're really good at something. Maybe taking photos or videos. Talking to dogs. Handling events and/or fundraisers. Educating people or doing interviews. Whatever it is you are good at, email us and let us know!

Keep in mind, CBHR has a strict "No Drama" Policy. So, we are definitely looking for crazy people - but not so much the dramatic ones. We teach you any skills you might need when handling dogs so don't worry if you don't know a lot about them. We'll help you out!
